Absolutely. Rain is still the day job. The UV layer is a second skin laminated underneath the canopy, not a trade-off - so a Metro UV handles a downpour exactly the way a Metro does.

The protection is built into the canopy as a laminated layer rather than sprayed on as a finish, so it's part of the fabric itself.
Not in the UV range. The protection comes from the laminated layer underneath, so every colourway carries the same UPF 50+ rating - choose the one you like and nothing is traded away.
In our Core range it does vary by colour, because there's no laminated layer doing the work.
