I Am Hope, founded by comedian and mental health advocate Mike King, has been a beacon of support since 2013, emphasising early mental health intervention and dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
For every purchase of this unique umbrella, $20 will be donated directly to I Am Hope (IAH), supporting mental health education for New Zealand’s youth.
The funds raised from this collaboration will mainly go towards supporting IAH's innovative program, "Little People Big Feelings."
This program is not just about addressing immediate mental health concerns in school aged children, but also about equipping them with the tools and understanding to navigate their emotions throughout their lives. By hearing real-life stories and engaging with relatable resources from the I Am Hope team, these children learn to see mental health as a normal part of their overall well-being.
This initiative also highlights the importance of starting mental health conversations early, making the topic relatable and accessible for children. A key aspect of IAH's philosophy is to change how society perceives counselling, promoting it as "just a conversation" rather than a crisis intervention. This approach aligns with BLUNT’s values as an organisation, making it an easy decision to partner with the IAH team ongoing.
